St. Paul Cathedral Book Project 2005-07
June 16, 2008

During the past two and a half years I have been working on a book project, A Reflection of Faith, St. Paul Cathedral, photographing this magnificent cathedral in Pittsburgh with another photographer in conjunction with the one hundredth anniversary of the facility.
The book is a blend of history, art and artifacts, as well as the structure itself. The finished product was released this past November with much fanfare. It is a large book of some two hundred pages with hundreds of contemporary images of the structure, chosen from thousands of images taken during the course of the past two and a half years. The book was designed by Robert Pfaller and edited by David Wilkins, noted author and editor.
Flashes of Hope
June 16, 2008

On April 24th I was privileged to be the first photographer in Pittsburgh to shoot an assignment for Flashes of Hope, a national organization that photographs children and young adults who are undergoing treatments for various serious illnesses.
It was a very special day for my subjects and I. We laughed, talked and took lots of pictures. Some folks were shy and taken back with all the equipment etc. but a few moments on the set, and they relaxed and got into the groove. The families are treated to make-up and styling by a professional stylist, something the girls especially enjoyed!
When they finished with the stylist, they came to our “location studio” and got to do whatever they wanted to do in front of the camera. It was surely an enjoyable time, I loved it and so did the kids!
